I Am the Way the Truth and the Life

It is very important to understand how we arrive at the Truth! When one is about to take on the establishment so to speak, you have to be able to back up what you are saying with fact, the Truth!

Since we are dealing with spiritual matters here, then we must use the criteria that deals with spiritual matters and use the standard of rule to measure what is Truth. Therefore, in order to understand what is the Truth, we must go to the source of Truth, the Scriptures!

We are told in Scripture,"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:21

Scripture also points out,"Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. " 1 Corinthians 2:13.

So if we are going to study to understand what is Truth then we need to compare it with what the Word or the Scriptures say about the subject!

The Word of God was made flesh and dwelt among us and He said, "I AM the Way the Truth and the Life; no man shall come unto the Father but by Me." John 14:6

This statement Christ made says it all! If you want to know my Father, the Supreme Being, then I Am the Only Way you will know Him, because I Am the Truth and the Life of God Personified! If you read the Word/Scriptures and you see how Christ the Word understood and lived the Scriptures, then you will know the Truth, because He is the Truth and the Life of God!

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was Life; and that Life was the Light of men." John 1:1-4

So how are we going to proceed with finding out what is Truth and what is error? By comparing what ever we are examining to what is written in the Scriptures or the Word of God, since it IS the Truth, and spiritual things are spiritually discerned! We must also ask the Spirit of Truth to teach us and lead us into all Truth!

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all Truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come." John 16:13

Therefore, God has already made provision for us to know Him and to know His Truth as it is in His Word or His Son, by sending forth the Spirit of Truth to lead us into ALL TRUTH!

"He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you." - John 16:14, 15

Consequently if the Truth of God is in the Word, or in Christ as revealed to us through the Holy Ghost, then un-truth or falsehood is not revealed to us through this channel! The opposite of a truth is a lie. Here is what Inspiration says:

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it." - John 8:44

"He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." - 1 John 2:4

"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." - 1 John 2:22

When Satan, the father of lies tries to promote his lies as the truth, he is attempting to counterfeit the truth with falsehood so that he will usurp our allegiance to the Way, the Truth and the Life and follow him! He can only counterfeit or copy the Truth or the original, the Word of God! So we have to be very careful that we do not believe a lie as truth, like a white lie! All counterfeit doctrines are lies and usually come couched or mixed with truth so they will be unsuspected as outright lies or false hoods!

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel (messenger) of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." 2 Cor 11: 13-15.

Confessions of a Catholic Heretic is a blog dedicated to exposing these lies, falsehoods, counterfeit truths that Satan and his ministers are trying to deceive the world in following the father of lies.

We will expose the anti-christ by revealing the Truth of the Father as it is in His Only Begotten Son, the Way, the Truth and the Life!
