At the age of 18, I was invited one Sunday to attend a United Methodist church service by a classmate of mine and her family! I use to tutor her in science and math subjects so I spent a lot of time with her and her family. They really appreciated my friendship and help! I went along but was very uneasy attending another denominations service because the catholic church frowns on such behavior and it could be a point of excommunication. All through the service I had this fear and guilt that I was doing something I shouldn't be, why because the church said it was wrong!
After I sat through about half of the service I began to realize that my guilt and fear was due to the pressure caused by my indoctrination! I began to loosen up and enjoy the company and even what the pastor was teaching. It even sounded like what I had heard before in some of the sermons given during catholic mass. I could not help but think to my self, "These people believe in Jesus too!" So why was I told never to attend any other church service except the catholic mass? What was there to fear if we are all truly worshiping God? He is not a respecter of persons. It does not matter which church or part of His family we belonged too and fellowshipped with as long as we worshiped Him in Spirit and in Truth!
This was the beginning of my questioning what I had been indoctrinated into, and I began reading the King James version of the Bible instead of Douay Rheems version, just to find if there were any differences! As I studied the more I found a contradiction to what I had been taught through my catechism classes and my confirmation preparation!
This blog will be a candid look at what I discovered studying the Scriptures without being influenced and pressured by catholicism and her teachings and finding how and why the Truth in the Word had been perverted to take a certain perspective rather than teach it like it truly is in Christ and the Holy Spirit!
I will use the medium of both the written and the spoken word as I post articles and and videos on this site! I have found many videos online that basically echo my convictions so I will use them to setup a foundation for that which I want to further expound on!
The truth is the truth no matter where it is found! And the truth will always be the truth because The Truth is never changing!
